On early Monday morning, rapper Tyga allegedly hit his ex-girlfriend Camaryn Swanson when she visited his home. TMZ reports that Tyga initially claimed that Swanson showed up at his house uninvited, but she shared some screenshots of text messages that seem to indicate he actually sent a car for her to come over.
Tyga and some “other family members in his home” said she was screaming outside his house and he let her in and they accused her of being “under the influence.” He then allegedly hit Swanson. Her mother came to pick her up and she contacted the police.
Responding officers saw marks on Swanson that corroborated her story. Tyga refused to speak to officers at his home and went to the station on Tuesday.
Swanson shared photos of her face, and her black eye on Instagram writing, “I’ve been emotionally, mentally and physically abused and I’m not hiding it anymore…I’m so embarrassed and ashamed it had to get to this but I have to stand up for myself.”
She also shared the text screenshots and claimed that he attacked her when she tried to leave his house and held her there for hours. In them, she texted him the next morning saying she didn’t think he was “capable” of doing this to her.
Tyga was booked by the LAPD but posted his $50,000 bail and left.
