Donald Trump doesn’t have a lot of time left to do completely bizarre things while President of the United States, so he’s really going for it. In his last couple of days in office, it is rumored Trump is doing a slew of pardons for various people in his circle who have been convicted of crimes.
The New York Post reports he might pardon some bigger name people for a little razzle-dazzle, like Joe Exotic from Tiger King.
There is also a rumor that Trump plans to pardon rapper Lil Wayne, who plead guilty to illegal possession of a firearm, which he is not allowed to carry due to a prior felony conviction. The charge could potentially carry a ten-year prison sentence.
The news has suddenly put together some pieces for people who have been wondering why Lil Wayne met with Trump in October just before the election to support Trump's criminal reform plan. He got a lot of criticism for it. Now, people kind of think it was worth it?
If there is one thing Trump likes, it's people who suck up to him. A lot of people might be willing to give the thumbs up on camera next to Trump in exchange for a get out of jail free card.
