The “Island Boys” are two identical twins who got famous for rapping on TikTok and who have now set out on a journey to prove they can be a crossover hit. The crossover is into real life, and so far it’s not looking good.

They made their first appearance in a club in Miami and TikTok has turned on them—this viral clip posted by @izurp shows the brothers getting booed on stage at Miami’s Club Liv.

The boys’ real names are Franky Venegas and Alex Venegas, but they go by Kodiyakredd and Flyysoulja on stage and the whole situation sounds like kind of a setup. They started with their big song “I’m an Island Boy” but the a capella version only earned derision from the crowd.

To their credit, they keep pushing through. All HipHop reports they’ve recorded a master track and supposedly put out a music video. However, it seems like it’s been “removed by the uploader” so maybe there have been some repercussions from Miami club night for their release strategy.

They initially got big for their video rapping in a pool, probably because it spoke deeply to the souls of South Floridians:

Florida is not an island, but that’s the least of the Boys’ problems right now.
