T-Pain Shares Celeb DMs After Realizing He’s Accidentally Been Straight Up Ignoring Them For Years

For most people, the Instagram message requests folder is full of spam and nonsense, the kind of cesspool you make sure to ignore at least 90% of the time. But if you’re a celebrity, it turns out you should really keep tabs on your message requests, because you never know who’s trying to get ahold of you.

Rapper T-Pain went public with his Instagram faux-pas this week, revealing that he didn’t even know a request folder existed—and he’s been accidentally ignoring hundred of his fellow celebs for years.

He posted a video to TikTok scrolling through all his missed messages and story mentions from blue checkmarks, admitting fault and hilariously revealing parts of those celeb DMs in the process.

T-Pain looks properly ashamed as TikTok’s narration reads out his text captions: “I’ve been accidentally straight up ignoring all these people for like 2 years. I thought DMs are supposed to just show up in the normal folder and you don’t have to go digging for all these.”

The list shows everyone from Fergie to Diplo to Viola Davis (or, at least, someone named Anton with access to the acting legend’s account).

Unfortunately for us, there aren’t any juicy snippets in the leaked DMs — most just appear to be initial hellos or notes that T-Pain is being mentioned in their stories, but he notes that these are just the accounts he still hasn’t gotten back to after discovering the folder exists.

While the “Buy U a Drank” rapper might be embarrassed by unintentionally shunning all these people for years, the internet has been highly entertained by the whole thing.

He ultimately apologized to “everybody on this list and the hundreds of others I couldn’t fit in this video.”

“Yup…….. I’m stupid,” he wrote.
