Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have rapidly become one of the strangest power couples in modern times, and a recent interview with British GQ Style has definitely upped the weird factor.
Fox and Kelly started dating last June, gradually showing up at more and more events together, with Fox captioning couple photos with things like “Daddy’s gonna win a VMA.”
It seemed inevitable that the two would eventually give an interview like the one they did with GQ, and it did not disappoint — assuming what you wanted from it was bizarre relationship sentiments seared into your brain for all eternity.
“I just remember this tall, blond, ghostly creature and I looked up and I was like, ‘You smell like weed,’” Fox says of their first encounter. “He looked down at me and he was like, ‘I am weed.’ Then, I swear to God, he disappeared like a ninja in a smoke bomb.”
The two didn’t properly meet at that time, which was actually at a GQ party several years back, when Fox was still with Brian Austin Green. In fact, she says she didn’t even see his face.
“Thank God, [because] what torture had I known you were there and I couldn’t get to you. It was better that I didn’t know,” she said.
The interview is so wild it’s best read in full as written, and those who have properly dived in have had plenty to say about it on Twitter.
But as much as people are ragging on them, many are just thrilled to see Fox happy, after the way Hollywood and the media did her dirty when she was first breaking into the industry.
And if that happiness comes in the form of a too-bizarre-to-script romance with Machine Gun Kelly? Look, we may not understand it, but good for you girl.
