For a rapper, DaBaby really doesn’t respect the hustle. He was approached by a couple of teens who wanted to sell him some overpriced candy, and instead of seeing two little entrepreneurs in training, he saw an opportunity to embarrass kids on Instagram.
The North Carolina rapper shared a clip of his interaction with the two on Sunday on his Instagram story after they claimed they were trying to raise money.
He surprises them by popping out of his Sprinter van where they were selling Gushers.
“What you want for the box?” DaBaby asks them.
“$200,” one suggests.
He then asks how much the whole box would be to the other kid, who sticks with his partner and says $200. They know when they’re looking at a rich guy after all. Instead of rewarding this bold move, DaBaby got pissed off. He asks how many Gusher packets are in a box, and the answer is 34.
“What’s $34 multiplied by two, my boy?” he replies. “It ain’t $200! It’s not even $100. It’s $68.”
Eventually, he buys candy from both of them, paying only $2 to each instead of a box.
“You gotta use your head, you tried to play me,” he tells them “I was gonna bless you anyway. You would have gotten the $200 but now you got $2. Y’all be good.”
He captioned the vid, “Y’all little n—–s blew it. Keep hustlin tho.”
People are NOT impressed by this “lesson” DaBaby imparted or any of his other online filmed antics:
Ultimately, it was a famous adult man versus two children selling Gushers, so I don’t know how anyone could think that situation was fair.
